- **Processing:** Runs entirely in your browser. Files are never uploaded to AiLoveKit servers.

## How It Calculates

- **Formula:** formula-specific: e.g. V = I × R, P = V × I, R = R₁R₂ ÷ (R₁ + R₂)

- **Built-in formulas:** 11 (ohms-law, electric-power, power-current-resistance, power-voltage-resistance, energy-cost, series-resistance, parallel-resistance, voltage-divider, charge, capacitor-energy, inductor-energy)

All calculation runs locally in your browser; results update as you type and include the substituted working.

## Circuit Math Without the Guesswork

AiLoveKit's **electrical calculator** covers the everyday circuit toolkit: Ohm's law, all three power forms, total resistance for series and parallel networks, voltage dividers, charge flow and the energy stored in capacitors and inductors.

## Practical Extras

- **Energy cost** - turn any appliance's wattage into a running cost at your tariff rate.

- **Step-by-step** - divider currents, kWh usage and intermediate values are shown, not hidden.

- **Instant** - results recompute as you type, ideal for bench work and homework alike.

Need the motion and energy side? The [Physics Calculator](https://www.ailovekit.com/calculators/physics-calculator/) handles work, power and kinematics with the same transparent steps.

## Frequently Asked Questions

**Which power formula should I use?**

P = V × I when you know voltage and current, P = I²R when you know current and resistance, P = V² ÷ R when you know voltage and resistance - all three are included.

**How are resistor networks handled?**

Series adds resistances directly; parallel combines two resistors as R₁R₂ ÷ (R₁ + R₂). The voltage divider also shows the divider current.

**Can I estimate my electricity bill?**

Yes - the Energy Cost tool multiplies wattage and hours into kWh, then applies your tariff rate per kWh.

**What about capacitor and inductor storage?**

Capacitor energy = ½CV² and inductor energy = ½LI², both in joules - handy for sizing snubbers and smoothing stages.
